How do I change my avatar?
You can change your avatar by visiting your profile page, there you can click on your avatar. You will be taken to a page where you can either upload your own image or select one of the default avatars.

Can other people see my points?
Your star rating is public, other explorers can see how well you are doing in this respect but your exact score is your secret. Keep it to yourself or boast to your buddies about how well you are doing - it's up to you.

How do I earn points?
You can earn points for adding content (photos, video and historic details to the site). You will recieve 1 point for adding a photo, 1 point for suggesting a news story which is then added to the site, 2 points for adding a video, 5 points for suggesting a venue which is later added to the site and 5 points for suggesting historic information which is later added to a venue profile. No points are awarded for any kind of commenting, posting, messaging, for adding friends or any other for of interaction between explorers.

How do I upgrade to premium membership?
You can uprgrade your membership by clicking the link on the homepage or on any venue profile page. It is free to upgrade if you are an existing member of an urban exploration club or gang. Alternatively you can upgrade your membership for a small, one off cost.

Why do I have to pay for premium membership?
We charge a small one of fee for premium membership to ensure that only genuine explorers with an interest and respect for the venues listed on this site can get access to specific details such as the venues location, grid reference and entry status. If you are an existing member of an urban exploration club or gang then you can apply for a free upgrade.

Why can't I view maps?
Maps are only available to premium members, this is to ensure that this, sometimes sensitive information isn't freely available on the internet.

Can other people see my email address or phone number?
No, these details are always kept private on the website, no other user will ever have access to this information. Other explorers can request to obtain this your email or phone number from you, you will be notified of this request and will have the decision to approve or deny the request.

Can other people see my real name or age?
This is up to you, by default these details are not shown but by clicking the box next to your name or date of birth on the profile edit page, you can control whether this information is displayed.
